This course is the continuation of the winter semester curriculum of the practical French language teaching. It covers the following topics:
- interpersonal relations;
- work and education;
- national stereotypes;
- French media;
- French cinema;
- humanitarian actions;
- past events;
- environmental protection;
- the school system in France;
- advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside and in the city;
- new technologies;
- art and culture in France;
- - travel and tourism.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion, the student knows the language at the B1/B1+ level, and thus:
- understands the meaning of the message contained in fairly standard utterances that deal with topics of everyday life in France (e.g. communicated by the media), etc...;
- is able to cope with most communication situations that may occur while traveling in an area where the language is spoken
language;
- can create simple, coherent statements;
- can describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and aspirations, justifying them or explaining their opinions and plans.
The subject implements the following learning outcomes to varying degrees. Within their framework, a student of the Institute of Roman Studies:
- has elementary knowledge of the function of language in social and intercultural communication K_W07
-has advanced knowledge of grammatical, orthographic, lexical, semantic, phonological and stylistic issues in French K_W08
- present their own views, referring to various sources and basic theoretical approaches, and argue the adopted point of view K_U04
- has the ability to prepare oral presentations in French and Polish, presenting specific issues, using a variety of sources and basic theoretical approaches
- has active and passive linguistic competence in French at the B1 level of the ESOCJ in speaking and writing. Can understand longer written and oral statements and construct various types of text in accordance with the rules of linguistic communication
- Is able to adopt an attitude of openness towards individual and cultural differences and has the ability to communicate in a multicultural environment K_K04
- is able to cooperate in a group, solve problems in discussion and initiate solutions appropriate to the situation
- is able to carry out mutual evaluation with respect for the dignity and feelings of group members
- is able to appropriately determine priorities for the implementation of a task defined by him/herself and others.
Assessment criteria
The requirements:
- attendance;
- systematic student work on the basis of materials introduced in class or submitted electronically for autonomouswork;
- active participation in class;
- positive results from partial control tests (minimum pass mark is 60%) and homework.
Students are allowed two absences.
In the case of remote classes, the ZOOM platform will be used.
Required technical facilities: internet access, microphone and webcam
Tests will be conducted in stationary and/or remote mode.
