Assessment criteria
To pass the semester, students must meet all the requirements set by the main lecturer and the supplementary lecturers for their group, including, in particular, the successful completion of written and oral assignments (e.g. project work, presentations, tests) carried out during classes throughout the semester. During classes, listening comprehension and reading comprehension skills are developed in various forms, as well as oral and written expression. Knowledge of grammatical structures, including more advanced ones, is consolidated and deepened. In the winter semester, two graded written assignments of approximately 300 words are set by the main lecturer during the semester, and one such assignment by the supplementary lecturer. Mastery of the current material is also assessed through vocabulary and grammar tests. Furthermore, attendance and active participation in classes are required to pass the semester.
NOTES
1) A doctor’s note does not exempt students from mastering the course material. It merely entitles them to an individualised form of assessment.
2) Students who have been granted permission for an individual study programme are required to contact the course tutor to determine how all the learning outcomes assigned to the course will be achieved. If it is not possible to achieve the aforementioned learning outcomes, the tutor may refuse to award credit for the course.
