Knowledge:
graduates know and understand:
1) in depth, concepts related to intellectual property protection and the need to respect and manage its resources (S2_W08, Reference to programme-specific learning outcomes: K2_W08).
Skills: graduates are able to:
2) search for, select, analyse, interpret, evaluate and use various categories of information for argumentation and reasoning in order to justify their theses and assessments in unpredictable conditions, express their opinions as experts on social, political and cultural phenomena in the region using various media (S2_U01, Reference to programme-specific learning outcomes: K2_U01, K2_U02).
3) develop their research skills, independently acquire knowledge and take actions aimed at managing their own professional career; skilfully formulate thoughts, present research results in the form of oral or written statements, papers or scientific publications (S2_U03, Reference to programme-specific learning outcomes: K2_U03, K2_U02).
4) formulate, interpret and analyse research problems and conduct their own research at an academic level in the field of cultural studies and related disciplines concerning the Central and Eastern European region (S2_U07, Reference to programme-specific learning outcomes: K2_U02, K2_U04, K2_U05).

Social competences:
the graduate is ready to:

Assessment criteria
ZAL/NZAL assessment based on the presented chapter of the master's thesis (first semester) and on the basis of the submitted thesis (second semester).
