Knowledge: the graduate knows and understands:
K2_W03 in depth the specificity of various cultural models in an anthropological approach (traditional, noble, bourgeois, mass), the processes of their transformation and mutual connections, as well as their emanations in the symbolic and semiotic sphere, i.e., in the realm of culture and art, literature and language, and the history of Western European countries (Reference to the second-degree characteristics of the Polish Qualification Framework typical for qualifications obtained within higher education and science after obtaining a full qualification at level 4: P7S_WG Scope and depth);
K2_W010 understands in depth the principles of operation of institutions of culture and national heritage; is familiar with contemporary cultural life and its entanglements in the political and social discourses of Western European countries (Reference to the second-degree characteristics of the Polish Qualification Framework typical for qualifications obtained within higher education and science after obtaining a full qualification at level 4: P7S_WG Scope and depth; P7S_WK Context/conditions, effects).
Skills: the graduate is able to:

Assessment criteria
The classes are in the form of a lecture combined with a seminar. In addition to ongoing preparation for classes (reading assigned texts and studies), a presentation on a topic assigned by the instructor is also planned.
The course concludes with an oral graded assessment.
A condition for being admitted to the course assessment is mandatory attendance at classes in accordance with the Study Regulations at WLS.
The assessment will include verification of knowledge from the material discussed during classes throughout the semester.
The final grade for the course is comprised of:
- activity during classes (30%)
- work – PowerPoint presentation and a paper version of the text (30%)
- assessment answer – 3 questions (40%).
