Oral Presentation Skills in English 3223-AMMS-OPS
The aim of the course is to enable students to develop oral skills, with an emphasis on semi-formal and formal presentations typical of conference speeches or professional work. The main objectives of the course are: (1) to enable the use of English in discussions and speeches, (2) to practise planning, organising and conducting presentations for small groups, (3) to develop the ability to anticipate and respond appropriately to questions and comments from the audience. The course includes classes on rhetoric and body language. In order for students to have the opportunity to develop a number of presentation skills, the teacher will work with the use of, e.g., a presentation. Students will receive feedback on the speeches and learn how to react to them and how to use them to improve their presentation skills.

The final assessment will be based on written and oral assignments completed during the classes.

60–67% = 3.0
68–75% = 3.5
76–83% = 4.0
84–91% = 4.5
92–98% = 5.0
