After the course, the learner should be able to speak or give his/her opinion on a variety of topics, especially everyday topics that he/she might need in contact with a native speaker. This starts with speaking about his/her daily life, about the life as a student (in town: shopping, going by bus/tram/metro). He/she should be able to speak about his/her hobbies, should be able to use small talk at parties, should be able to describe habits of e.g. Christmas Celebration; several topics (travelling) will be discussed, with vocabulary and Grammar; also the basic idioms of the German language will be given. When there is a difference between the German language in Germany and Austria, theses differences (in the lexic, Grammar and pronunciation) will be explained.
