Practical Russian course (A1) 3222-PR-A1-ON-OG
The content of the teaching is subordinated to the premise of opening up to the cognitive and communicative needs of the students and to their intentions related to the possibilities of acquiring the qualification necessary for their future profession or functioning in the country whose language they are studying. According to the information provided above, the classes include a series of practical exercises aimed at basic communicative situations, through which students acquire the vocabulary and grammatical rules of the language.
In addition, the aim of the class is to train listening, speaking, reading, writing skills, and to acquire and expand students' language competence in:
1. general understanding of written and spoken texts of varying levels of difficulty
3. expressing the content learned in class in textual or aural form, in grammatically correct oral and written (complex) speech
4. expressing one's own opinion with the use of lexical resources and knowledge acquired in class;
5. conducting conversation on topics taken from everyday life and in everyday situations, as well as the ability to prepare statements on more difficult topics (active participation in discussion, debate, etc.)
Knowledge of the rules of grammar provides: the ability to build grammatically correct sentences; the ability to correctly solve grammar and grammar-lexical exercises.

Preparation for the exam - 30 hrs - 1 ECTS

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
- knows and understands spoken and written Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - K1_W12;
- is able to communicate orally and in writing in Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - K1_U14;
- can independently plan and implement his/her own lifelong learning (K1_U11);
- plan and organize individual and team work (K1_U12).
He is ready to:
- critically evaluate his/her knowledge and received content

Assessment criteria
Conditions for passing the course and admission to the final credit test:
- attendance in class;
- control of current preparation;
- Passing of control tests and translation tests;
- Passing group and individual projects.
The evaluation criteria are presented in the form of percentage thresholds (point conversion):
99-100% - 5 !(very good grade with an exclamation mark)
93- 98% - 5 (very good grade)
87-92% - 4+ (good plus grade)
77-86% - 4 (good grade)
70-76% - 3+ (rating of sufficient plus)
60-69% - 3 (sufficient grade)
The final grade consists of:
- continuous, formative assessment (activity, preparation for classes, control tests, projects) - 30%
- final credit test - 70%
A student is entitled to 4 unexcused absences, each subsequent absence requires submission of an excuse. The student's attendance in class is confirmed by a signature on the list. Exceeding the allowed number of unexcused absences in class requires obtaining additional credit for an oral answer before taking the exam.
A student has the right to take an exam in a make-up session in the same form as in the basic session and provided that he/she obtains a passing grade in the course.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences in 50% of classes may be grounds for failing the course.
