Upon completion of the course, the student:
Knows and understands:

K_W01 – in an advanced manner, the terminology and methodology of linguistic research.

K_W04 – the interrelations of philological research and its complex connections with other scientific disciplines, at an advanced level.

K_W07 – in depth, the key issues related to the development and functioning of contemporary Ukrainian in various fields.

K_W10 – the Ukrainian language in spoken and written form in accordance with the requirements of at least level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

K_W12 – the basic concepts and principles of intellectual property protection and copyright law.

Is able to:

K_U01 – properly select sources and extract information from them; perform critical analysis, creative interpretation, and presentation of information related to the Ukrainian language.

K_U04 – apply appropriate methods and research tools in the field of Ukrainian linguistics.

K_U07 – formulate and test hypotheses related to research in Ukrainian linguistics.

K_U11 – engage in debate on specialist topics.

K_U12 – communicate in spoken and written Ukrainian in accordance with the requirements of at least B2+ level of the CEFR.

K_U14 – independently plan and carry out lifelong learning.

Is ready to:

S1_K01 (K2_K01) – critically evaluate their own knowledge and the content received in the subject area.

Conditions for admission to the final assessment:

- attendance at classes

- systematic preparation for classes of the given material.

The following criteria shall apply to credits:

- achieving the expected learning outcomes covering all relevant aspects – 5.0 (very good)

- achieving the expected learning outcomes covering all relevant aspects with a small number of errors or inaccuracies – 4.5 (good plus)

- achieving the expected learning outcomes by omitting certain (less important) aspects – 4.0 (good)

- achievement of the expected learning outcomes with the omission of some important aspects and with significant inaccuracies – 3.5 (sufficient plus)

- achievement of the expected learning outcomes with omission of important aspects or with serious inaccuracies – 3.0 (sufficient plus)

- failure to achieve expected learning outcomes – 2.0 (insufficient assessment)

Assessment components:

- continuous, formative assessment (ongoing preparation for classes, activity) – 10%

- written credit-90%.

Written credit criteria:

99% -100% - 5 !(very good with exclamation mark)

96% - 98 % - 5 (very good)

87% - 95% - 4+ (good plus)

78% - 86% - 4 (good)

69% - 77% - 3+ (sufficient plus)

60% – 68% - 3 (satisfactory)

A student is entitled to two absences.

The student has the right to pass the subject in the revision session on the same principles as in the basic session.
