Ukraine and Europe (history, culture, literature) 3 3222-50UE3K-N
The classes cover knowledge of the history, literature and culture of Ukraine in the European context, including the trends in the development of Ukrainian literature and its connection with social and cultural life, the main problems and trends in modern literary studies: psychoanalysis, formalism, hermeneutics, structuralism, post-structuralism, semiotics, comparative literary studies, historicism, post-colonialism. Using individual literary and artistic works as an example, selected aspects of Ukrainian culture and literature will be discussed in the context of ideas shaping Western European culture.

Assessment criteria
Written exam.
Assessment criteria are presented in the form of percentage thresholds (point conversion):
99-100% - 5 ! (very good grade with an exclamation mark)
93- 98 % - 5 (very good grade)
87-92% - 4+ (good plus grade)
77-86% - 4 (good grade)
70-76% - 3+ (sufficient plus grade)
60-69% - 3 (sufficient grade)
The student is entitled to 2 unexcused absences, each subsequent one requires submitting a justification.
