After completing the course, the student will
know and understand

S1_W04: in-depth knowledge of the connections between learning Ukrainian as a specialized language and the field of law.
S1_W05: in-depth knowledge of the psychological foundations of language functioning.
S1_W07: in-depth knowledge of key issues related to the development and functioning of contemporary Ukrainian in the field of civil and family law.

S1_W10: written and spoken Ukrainian in accordance with the requirements for at least level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

S1_U01 is able to properly select sources and information derived from them, perform critical analysis, creative interpretation, and presentation of information in the field of Ukrainian language in civil and family law. S1_U10 communicate on specialized topics in the field of Ukrainian language in civil and family law. S1_U12 communicate orally and in writing in Ukrainian in accordance with the requirements specified for at least level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. S1_K02 is ready to think and act in an entrepreneurial manner and initiate activities for the public interest or the social environment.

Exam admission requirements:

- class attendance
- systematic preparation of assigned material for classes
- passing the mid-semester translation test.

Course completion is based on a written exam covering the content covered in class and the core literature (100%). This test, in the form of translation tasks, assesses acquired language skills (knowledge of vocabulary, grammatical structures, and spelling).
Grading scale:

99% - 100% 5! (very good grade with an exclamation mark)
96% - 98% - 5 (very good grade)
87% - 95% - 4+ (good plus grade)
78% - 86% - 4 (good grade)
69% - 77% - 3+ (satisfactory plus grade)
60% - 68% - 3 (satisfactory grade)

Students are allowed two unexcused absences; each subsequent absence requires an excuse. The instructor decides whether an absence is recognized. The form of credit for classes from which the student was absent is determined by the instructor. Exceeding 50% of the class's total number of excused and unexcused absences may constitute grounds for failing the course.

Students have the right to take the exam in the retake session using the same format as in the regular session, provided they are admitted to the exam.
