This class will discuss the most important issues related to cultural diplomacy. We will deal with both the theoretical side - reflecting on the concept itself, the reflections it evokes, defining the field of activities of cultural diplomacy, and the practical side - we will look at the activities of Ukrainian cultural diplomacy and teach the mechanisms necessary to design the activities in this field independently.

Learning outcomes
The student knows and understands to an advanced degree the relationship of philological research and its links with other scientific disciplines;
Student knows and understands the history and cultural context of Ukraine;
Students will learn to search, critically analyse and evaluate, select and use information on the Ukrainian language.
The student is able to plan and organise his/her individual and team work.
The student is able to critically evaluate his/her knowledge and perceived content.
Assessment criteria
The prerequisite for passing the course and admission to the final examination is:
- systematic preparation of the assigned material for the class - continuous, formative assessment 50%
- conducting and presenting a group project on cultural diplomacy 50 %.
The course concludes with a pass mark according to the following criteria presented in the form of percentage thresholds
60% - 68% - 3 (pass mark)
69% - 77% - 3+ (pass mark)
78% - 86% - 4 (good)
87% - 93% - 4+ (good plus grade)
94% - 97% - 5 (very good grade)
98% -100% - 5 ! (very good grade with exclamation mark)
Assessment criteria:
- achievement of the intended learning outcomes covering all relevant aspects

- Attainment of the expected learning outcomes with some (less important) aspects omitted - 4.0 (mark good plus).

Students are allowed up to 3 unexcused absences, each additional absence requires an excuse.
Classes during which a student was absent may be passed during lecturer's duty.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences in 50% of classes may be the basis for failing a course.
Students have the right to take an examination in a resit session in the same form as in the main session and on condition that they obtain a pass in the subject.
