The class is a seminar.
The material of the Ukrainian morphology presents the subject and tasks of morphology, gives description and criteria for the classification of parts of speech, presents the rules of its functioning, gives systems and rules of variants of parts of speech, describes and characterizes the structure of the predicate.
Morphology includes topics in the description of the grammatical system of Ukrainian in functional terms. It presents basic theoretical and methodological issues of this system. He acquainted with basic notions of morphology and terminology, object of morphology, functional lexeme classification criteria and traditional division of speech. Discusses and analyzes parts of speech and rules of their division in Ukrainian. Excersises are important part of the class as they aim at helping students in mastering the lanquage.
Class finish with a written exam.

If it is not possible to conduct classes in a stationary form, classes will be held using distance communication tools, most likely Google Meet and others recommended by UW (zoom, google classroom)

Assessment criteria
The course concludes with a written examination.
Conditions for passing the subject and for admission to the examination:
- attendance in class
- completion of control tests
- independent preparation of a presentation (research project) on a given topic, in which the student will independently analyse a given phenomenon.
Assessment criteria for written exams and control tests are presented in the form of percentage thresholds:
60% - 68% - 3 (sufficient grade)
69% - 77% - 3+ (pass mark)
78% - 86% - 4 (good)
87% - 90% - 4+ (good plus)
91% - 98% - 5 (very good grade)
99% -100% - 5 !(grade very good with an exclamation mark)
The final grade consists of the work during the semester (30%) and the exam result (70%).
Students are allowed up to 3 unexcused absences, each additional absence requires an excuse.
The form of credit for classes in which the student was absent is determined by the lecturer.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences in 50% of classes may be the basis for failing a course.
A student has the right to take an examination in a resit session in the same form and according to the same criteria as during the examination in the first term, on condition that they obtain a pass in the course.
