Axiological Dimensions of Russian Literature III 3202-S2SMWA21z
The third semester of the seminar provides for the continuation of work on axiological issues in Russian literature on the example of the works by F. Dostoevsky, the influence of this Russian writer on Russian and world literature of the 20 th and 21 st century, and familiarization with the terminology, related to the axiological interpretation of his novels, primarily by Mikhail Bakhtin.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
1. A student knows the texts and axiological issues of the most important novels by F. Dostoevsky;
2. A student knows the most important M. Bakhtin's texts, devoted to the axiological issues of the novels by F. Dostoevsky;
3. A student knows the contemporary state of research and terminology of axiological interpretations of F. Dostoevsky's works;
4. A student knows the results of current axiological research related to the subject of their master's thesis.
Skills:
1. A student determines the title of the master's thesis and its structure;
2. A student prepares a bibliography for the master's thesis;
3. A student prepares the next fragment (at least one chapter) of the master's thesis;
4. A student can present the state of research on the topic being developed;
5. A student has research skills in the analysis and interpretation of literary works in the context of axiological issues.
Social competences:
1. A student understands the specificity of axiology in the works by F. Dostoevsky;
2. A student is aware of share responsibility for the preservation of the European cultural and literary heritage;
3. A student is aware of the contribution of Russian culture to the cultural heritage of Europe;
4. A student is aware of his knowledge and feels to be obligated to its further increasing;
5. A student is aware of shared responsibility for the development of reading and the need to develop their reading interests.
Assessment criteria
Completed bibliography and the next chapter of the master's thesis.
The student has the right to 2 unexcused absences, each subsequent one requires justification. The lecturer decides on the recognition of absence.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences by 50% of classes may be grounds to fail the course. The conditions for passing the course on the resit exam are the same as on the ordinary of exam.
If it is not possible to conduct classroom classes, classes will be conducted using distance communication tools, most likely Google Classroom and others recommended by the University of Warsaw.
