– the student has well-organized knowledge of Old Believers' history, culture and religion;
– the student knows the origins of the Old Believers' movement and knows the basic events of Old Believers' history;
– the student knows the Old Believers' doctrine, their cultural heritage, the main Old Believers' communities in Russia and abroad;
– the student has detailed knowledge about Old Believers' mindset and moral philosophy,
– the student knows the Old Believers' religious ceremonies and traditions as well as their folklore;
− the student has detailed knowledge about history, language and culture of the Old Believers in Poland;
– the student knows the present situation of the Old Believers in Russia and abroad.
Skills:
− the student characterizes in details the main events of the Old Believers' history and places them in a wider historical context;
– the student characterizes the Old Believers' doctrine and philosophy as well as the main Old Believers' denominations;
– the student characterizes in details relations between Russian authorities and Old Believers in different periods;
– the student names the leaders of the Old Believers' movement and the main Old Believers' communities;
– the student prepares an extensive speech and written statement of the Old Believers' religious ceremonies and traditions, their religious art and folklore;
– the student explains, what is the linguistic interference; the student uses basic linguistic terms in the field of language contact and dialectology;
– the student can seek information about the characterized questions from various sources.
