Vocabulary and grammar
These two areas are not taught in separation. Class activities depend on the particular topics discussed and possibilities for combining the teaching of vocabulary and grammar.
Vocabulary topics.
1.Meeting people, politeness formulae. Introducing relevant nouns and verbs.
2.Home, house, family, stages in life.
3.Education, school, occupations. The Polish educational reform.
Grammar topics
I.The following areas are discussed on the basis of simple sentences:
1.Declarative and interrogative sentences .
2.Sentences with nominal predicates (different types of copula in such sentences)
3.The expression of ownership (u + Gen.), taking away (u, ot), verbs referring to deprivation ("vzyat'", "zabrat'", "dostat'", etc.)
4.The verb "to have" as predicator.
II.Sentences with a verbal predicate
1. Different types of subjects
2. Expression of direction and location (iz, iz-pod, iz-za, kuda, otkuda)
