The following topics are covered during the class:
1. Structure and functioning of the vocal, respiratory and articulatory apparatus.
2. Conditions of correct voice emission.
3. Exercises improving parts of the body responsible for voice production. 4.
4. Relaxation exercises to prepare the body for working with the voice:
- Alexander technique,
- Jacobson relaxation,
- Schulz autogenic training
5. Relaxation exercises for voice production areas:
- relaxing the jaw
- opening the throat
- chest control
6. Breathing exercises.
- Establishing the correct diaphragmatic and ribbed breathing path.
- lengthening the expiratory phase.
- working on the use of breathing support.
- developing skills of proper air management during phonation.
7 Determining the diameter of the voice.
8. Soft attack of sound.
9. Searching for resonance in the body.
- Working on the use of the pectoral resonator.
- Stimulating the nasal (head) resonators.
10. Exercises to improve the motor skills of the articulatory organs.
11. Improving speaking technique:
- correct articulation of vowels.
- precision in articulation of consonants
- avoiding excessive similarity and simplification of consonant groups
- avoiding reduction of consonantal consonants
- working on intonation
12. Working on the implementation of the principles of correct Polish pronunciation
- pronunciation of nasal vowels
- pronunciation of doubled vowels.
- vowel divergence
- similarities and simplifications allowed in model pronunciation
- word stress
13 Enrichment of vocal plasticity and expression
14 Voice as a working tool. Voice tone, articulation features and elements of body language important for the interpreter's work and public speaking.

Student:
- Has a general knowledge of the structure and function of the voice organ. Understands the physiological and pathological processes occurring in the vocal organ.
- Knows the principles and methods of correcting abnormal breathing, phonation, resonation and articulation habits.
- Knows the technique of breathing, phonation, resonation and articulation exercises.
- Knows the principles of correct pronunciation.
- Knows the principles of voice hygiene.
SKILLS
Student:
- Is able to use theoretical knowledge of voice emission and speech technique to evaluate their own voice and to modify incorrect emission and articulation habits....
ATTITUDES
Student:
- Is aware of the complexity of problems related to the functioning of language as a means of communication.
- Is aware of the complexity of the voice phenomenon and accepts the differences resulting from individual abilities and possibilities of speech production.
- Is aware of the importance of voice quality and articulation in the work of an interpreter.

- Attendance monitoring; two (2) absences are permitted
