Terminology A and C - English language, level 2 3200-M2-2TAC2A
The course curriculum assumes the development and improvement of language skills in A and C, i.e. distinguishing between general texts and specialist texts, learning specialist terminology from selected subject circles, expanding the stock of specialist vocabulary from selected subject circles, improving the process of translating texts, learning specialist vocabulary from selected subject circles, expanding the stock of specialist vocabulary from selected subject circles, improving the process of translating specialist texts and creating terminology cards and sets. Students prepare for the work of a terminologist and support the process of specialist translation, as well as solve the terminological problems they encounter. Students are prepared to cooperate with experts or a group of translators in the process of finding specialist terminology. Students also learn about traditional and networked terminology resources concerning A and C, as well as terminological norms concerning the chosen field.

The subject is assigned 2 ECTS points, which means:
30 hours - attendance and work in class (1 ECTS) and
15 hours - reading and analyzing specialist texts and 15 hours - preparing terminology papers.
