Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student knows:
- in depth, the cultural and linguistic aspects of the use of the Russian language K_W02, K_W08
- in depth, specialist terminology in the field of linguistics and/or literary studies K_W04
Skills
The student is able to
- identify cultural elements characteristic of the Russian language and interpret socio-historical changes taking place within Russia/the post-Soviet area K_U02
- search for, analyse, evaluate and select information in their native language, Russian and at least one additional foreign language (e.g. English) K_U03
- select and apply research methods appropriate to the subject matter and issues addressed in their Master's thesis K_U04
- formulate in Russian at C2 level a description of the research and conclusions from the analyses carried out K_U06, K_U07
- independently select a bibliography and critically evaluate literature K_U09, K_U12
Social competences
The student is prepared to
- critically evaluate reading materials K_K01
- further develop their knowledge in a given field, e.g. as part of doctoral studies K_K05
Assessment criteria
The basis for obtaining a pass grade for the course is
- regular presentation of fragments of the master's thesis
- submission of the master's thesis, prepared in accordance with the applicable formal requirements
Bibliography
The selection of literature is dictated by the topics of the master's theses.
