Teaching systems and language skills in a post-primary high school, language B/C - German 3200-M1-NSJSPPN
The course is related to teaching German as a foreign language. Methods of teaching learners of teenage and adult students are presented, as well as didactic materials and forms of exercises, adjusted to the needs of learners.
Topics:
- teaching grammar to adult and teenage students
- teaching vocabulary to adult and teenage students
- developing language skills with adult and teenage students
- learning strategies
- coursebooks for teaching German.
Student`s workload:
30 hours per semester - attending classes,
10 hours per semester - student`s own work (preparing homework, preparing for the final test).
If classroom learning is impossible, the workshop will be conducted with the help of distance communication tools, most probably Google Meet and others recommended by the University.

Students are acquainted with methods, didactic materials and forms of work with teenage and adult learners during classes of German as a foreign language.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
- the student knows various methods of working with teenage adult students,
- the student knows methods of presenting and practising grammatical and lexical material, as well as methods of developing the skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension in the foreign language (German) with teenage and adult students.
Skills:
- the student can apply didactic materials adjusted to the learners` age
- the student can prepare classes adjusted to the learners` age
Comptences:
- the student can work in a group and can manage a group of teenage and adult learners,
- he student is able to solve problematic situations in the classroom.
Assessment criteria
1. Obligatory attendance.
2. Homework assignment delivered on time.
3. Written exam at the end of the semester.
The final grade is the grade obtained for the final test.
Criteria of the test evaluation:
55%-70% 3 (dostateczny)
71%-75% 3+ (dostateczny plus)
76%-90% 4 (dobry)
91%-95% 4+ (dobry plus)
96%-100% 5 (bardzo dobry)
