Specialist translation written / interpreting C - Russian language 3200-M1-2TPR

The course involves developing and improving the translation competence in the field of translation or/and interpreting (Russian and Polish) of specialist texts of medium and advanced terminology, including:
- knowledge of grammatical structures and lexical connectivity of a foreign language and Polish language; rules of formulating longer written statements in target languages, including official journals.
- ability to use information concerning cultural aspects that characterise the source and target culture;
- technical competence: making translations using technical resources.

The student’s workload:
contact hours (in class) – 30 hours
preparing for classes – 15 hours
preparation for tests – 15 hours
Total: 60 hours (2 ECTS)
