Terminology A and B - italian language, level 1 3200-M1-2TAB1W
During the semester students learn literary terminology. The most important literary terms will be presented during the classes with particular attention to the analysis of narrative texts belonging to Italian literature. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the main terms used to describe literary texts and to improve their analytical and interpretational skills.
The aim of the course devoted to terminology related to law and banking is to familiarize the students with the terminology in the above-mentioned domains. Particular emphasis is given to terminology typical of legislative acts.
Student workload for 30 hours - 2 ECTS:
- 30 hours - attendance (1 ECTS),
- 10 hours - preparation to classes at home,
- 15 hours - preparation for final test and mid-term test (1 ECTS).
Term 2023L:

Skills
The students are able to:
K2_U01 use the acquired knowledge to carry out research work in the field of linguistics using appropriate methodology

K2_U07 communicate in the native and foreign language in various professional situations with specialists, using the
K2_U09 speak and write two foreign languages (B and C) at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
K2_U11 independently acquire knowledge in linguistics and evaluate the usefulness of the learned methods, practices and procedures in their own professional activity
K2_U13 independently plan and implement their own education using knowledge of foreign languages
S2.3_U01 use their knowledge of linguistics (especially terminology and translation studies) in research and professional activities;

Assessment criteria
Continuous rating (ongoing preparation for classes, active participation) - Written exam at the end of the semester as well as mid-term tests, if planned by the lecturer.
The final mark is calculated based on the following components:
- active participation in the classes (40%)
- final written exam and other tests (60%)
Assessment criteria: 100-90% - very good, 89-85% good plus, 84-80% good, 79-70% sufficient plus, 60-69% sufficient
The student should be prepared for each class. A student may submit two unprepared forms in the semester (eg not preparing translation tasks at home).
