Descriptive Grammar, Japanese - level 1 3200-L2-GOCJ1
First semester:
- foundations of Japanese conjugation according to syllabic and non-syllabic segmentation of the grammatical forms of verbs, adjectives and copula de aru,
- the opposition of finitive vs. non-finitive forms,
- forms of tense and negation,
- forms of tense and aspect of Japanese verbs (present-future and habitual tenses, progressive, progressive-resultative and industriative aspects),
- the aspectual classification of the Japanese verbs,
- adjectives and adverbial derivation.

KNOWLEDGE:
The student:

knows the structure of language as a system, has a basic knowledge of the place and importance of Japanese linguistics, and understands its subject-specificity,

Assessment criteria
Passing criteria:
- attendance
- active participation in classes
- positively passed semanal tests
- positively passed semester test
below 55% – 2 (unsatisfactory – fail grade).
56% -65% - 3 (dst)
66%-70% - 3+ (dst+)
71%-80% - 4 (db)
81%-85% - 4+ (db +)
86%-99% - 5 (bdb)
100% - 5!
Two unjustified absences per 30 hours of contact classes are allowed. In the case of more than two unexcused absences, the student should ask the lecturer to determine the form of credit for the material from the classes on which he was absent. An unjustified absence from 50% of classes (or more) results in an under-evaluation from this module at the end of the semester.
