Descriptive Grammar, Italian 3200-L2-GOBW
The course program includes the following topics:
Semester I
Morphology – introduction of the terminology, main issues and concepts in morphology, with basic processes and parts of speech in Italian.
Semester II
Syntax – introduction of the terminology, main issues and concepts of syntax.
Student workload:
60 h - attendance and active participation in classes - 2 ECTS
60 hours per year (30 hours per semester) - independent student work - 2 ECTS, including:
a) 20 h - reading and analysis of given texts
b) 20h - preparation for classes
c) 20h - preparation for the final test

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
After completing the course the student:
- knows the basic terminology in the field of morphology and Italian language syntax (K1_W02),
- knows the basic terminology and has a structured knowledge of the descriptive grammar of the Italian language, (K1_W08)
Skills:
After completing the course the student:
- can critically analyze texts including simple syntactic analysis of Italian sentences (K1_U01)
- can independently acquire knowledge in the field of descriptive grammar of the Italian language (K1_U11)
Social competence:
- is ready to critically assess his state of knowledge in the field of descriptive grammar of the Italian language as part of scientific and professional preparation (K1_K02)
- is ready to cooperate and work in a group, taking on different roles in it and ensuring compliance with the principles of professional and scientific ethics (K1_K06)

assessment of the subject includes:
- 25% continuous assessment, i.e. ongoing preparation for classes;
- 25% test at the end of the first semester
- 50% final written test
The condition of entering the written test is obtaining at least 60% of the didactic objectives in classes.
