Contrastive Grammar, Polish Sign Language 3200-L2-GKM
Contrastive grammar classes complement the Polish Sign Language descriptive grammar course and prepare students for translation workshops.
The exercises involve broadly defined work on the text: text analysis or comparison of the original text and its translation in terms of a selected linguistic problem (phonetic, lexical or syntactic); comparing translations; re-translation; finding and correcting linguistic errors.

Knowlegde
The student possesses well-ordered knowledge about major similarities and differences between language structures in Spanish and Polish (K_W01).
The student has the theoretical knowledge about contrastive grammar terminology of both languages, Spanish and Polish. (K1_W02)
Skills
The student is able to select, analyse and evaluate papers in contrastive grammar, using Spanish sources.
The student is able to identify the most frequent interferences and negative and positive transfer between Polish and Spanish (K1_U08).
Socio-cultural competences
He is ready to cooperate and work in a group, assume various roles and respect rules of good communication in Spanish (K1_K01);
He is ready to identify and properly solve communicative dilemmas between Spanish and Polish, which result from the asymmetry in linguistic systems and cultural variety (K1_K04);
