Modular facultative lecture: Improving visual-spatial competence in PJM (polish sign language) 3200-L1-MPF-DSW
During the course students will develop their skills of creating and comprehending visual-spatial messages.
Special attention will be devoted to improve their active use of facial expression as well as their recognition of non-manual components of signed utterances, both affective and grammatical, of native PJM signers. Furthermore, students will practice constructing and comprehending utterances produced in syntactic and topographic space with the use of classifiers, agreement verbs, spatial verbs and role-shift. Developing their visual-spatial competence students will improve their articulation of manual and non-manual signs, as well as using their body and its various articulators.
