Diploma seminar 3106-SEMDYPTG
The seminar will discuss 18th-century musical culture, focusing on the works of German composers from the circle of Johann Sebastian Bach and selected issues of music book trade. Special attention will be devoted to the publishing house of Estienne Roger and the role it played in the dissemination of Italian and French music in Central Europe. The seminar will also touch upon issues of methodology, from musical philology, to source criticism, to musical hermeneutics. The seminar is open to English speakers.
