Electronic Music 3106-ME-F
The course covers topics related to electronic music from a historical,
systematic, and social perspective. During the course, students will learn
about key concepts and compositional techniques specific to electronic
music in the 20th and 21st centuries. The topics covered in this course
will therefore include the development of electronic instruments since the
beginning of the 20th century, the flourishing of experimental music, the
achievements of German, French, and Italian centers in the 1960s, the
development of electronic music in Poland, and the significance of these
techniques for popular music in the second half of the 20th century and at
the beginning of the 21st century.

1. Students know the basic terminology related to specific issues related

2. Based on the music literature they have studied, they are able to
characterize important issues related to the most important branches of
electronic music and draw critical conclusions (K_W05)
