Laboratory of new music (module IV) 3106-LABMUN
Lecture and exercises on the phenomena characteristic of new music in the 20th and 21st century, with particular emphasis on workshop problems such as the organization of sound height, rhythm, form, instrumental and vocal extended techniques, the impact of new technologies on the creative process. The class will use multimedia. Meetings with composers and discussions on conditions and the modern condition of new music are part of the course.

The course is planned so that the student will be able to:
- know and use the terminology related to new music;
- use knowledge in European and American new music;
- know and understand the basic methods of analyzing and interpreting new music.
