Methodology of Teaching History of Music 1 3106-1MH1-P
Classes in the first semester of this course cover the functioning of music history as a subject within arts education at various levels, with particular emphasis on the music history course in the secondary school curriculum (legal basis, requirements set by the core curriculum in the context of a possible diploma exam in music history and a matura exam in music history). The dominant issue will also be the analysis of various methods of teaching history and music history, familiarization with various manuals for teaching history and history of music, along with a critical analysis of the latter in the context of the organization of work during the semester and during individual lessons (including the development of lesson plans).
