TOPOGRAPHY OF ANCIENT ROME 3101-DK0179
The intention of this class is to analyze the topographical aspects of the ancient city of Rome. During the course the participants will learn about different parts of the "eternal city", their history and the functions, they had in the city structure. The most important questions concerning urban development of the ancient Rome will be discussed: the defensive constructions (walls and gates), the organization of public space, the internal communication system and the water supply.
The course has a form of a conversatorium
