Underwater Archaeology 3101-DB236A
The aim of the classes is to make students familiar with methods used for exploration of underwater sites. The syllabus has been planned in such a way that it reflects stages and duration of field research.
1.Types of excavations - the notion of underwater archaeological site (division with regard to its function, stratigraphy, chronology and form) and of excavation research and its types: planned excavations (single- or multi-season, survey), rescue and supervisory excavations, differences between the types.
