Testing of Polish language knowledge 3004-SP-TZJP
The first State Certificate Examination in Polish as a Foreign Language was organized in 2004. This system of certification introduced new testing methods (in addition old methods were used in a new form), that enabled the measurement of the level of language proficiency. The goal of the classes is to introduce students to issues related to testing in foreign languages (in particular jpjo), familiarize students with the history and functioning of the jpjo certification system and with its influence on modern glottodidactics.
The use of Artificial Intelligence tools, as well as online translators, is possible only when consulted with the lecturer. Without the teacher's approval, it is forbidden to utilize such tools.
In written assignments, it is necessary to point out all the fragments taken from other authors' works, e.g. from articles available online. Plagiarism is a serious academic offense.

Learning outcomes
Students know different types of language tests; learn about the jpjo certification system. They are also familiar with the influence that the jpjo system had on modern glottodidactic (e.g. new school books, teaching aids, new types of exercises that allow testing of all five skill areas of language proficiency). Students are also introduced to new standards and regulations of the exam's requirements that are consistent with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Students know how to create testing exercises, in particular the ones that test listening comprehension (Those types of exercises are important and more difficult to learn because of the difficulties with collecting authentic recordings that are in line with certification requirements).
Assessment criteria
