Polish as a Foreign Language – Polish Glottodidactics 3004-B361GP1
The didactics of Polish is dealing with widely understood teaching of this language. It is concerned about the methods and language context in cultural and sociological aspects of learning the foreign language.
It enables to acquire professional competence in teaching Polish and the Polish culture foreigners in Poland and in the other countries. It allows to compare ways of teaching methods of the Polish with other languages, understood as a foreign.
1. Theoretical requirements for Masters essays. 2. Role of Polish in world (historical and present). 3. Polish in the family of Slavonics languages. 4. recognizing the addressee (who and why is learning Polish?). 5. Materials for the teaching Polish as a foreign – textbooks and other materials. 6. Methods of teaching. 7. Didactic of teaching. 8. Cultural context in teaching Polish as a foreign language. 9. The description of Polish language as a foreign in context of international arrangements of certification levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1,…). 10. The certification and state examinations. 11. Literary texts and anthologies of texts in the didactics of Polish. 12. Highbrow culture and pop culture in teaching Polish language as a foreign. 13. Polish language as a foreign for children and teenagers. 14. Topics suggested by seminar students.
Classes have opened character. Only a first half an hour of every individual meeting is consumed for the theoretical introduction. Second part is usually used for review of individual lectures and topics of master's thesis. On classes we re focused on discussion about examples of class leading and chosen fragments from textbooks of the different authorship. They are also being discussed – under the thematic and methodological aspect – master’s thesis written in the past
