Between the old and the younger years - the history of Polish literary language and scientific style, vocabulary in different varieties of Old Polish 3003-C5TN-HJ3

The course aims to deepen knowledge of early Polish literature against the backdrop of the most important cultural trends of the era and the dynamic transformations of the Polish language during that period. Its aim is to prepare participants for independent study of old texts and their linguistic analysis using the research tools of philology, genology, linguistic textology and discourse studies. It is intended not only to facilitate a deeper understanding of the literature discussed, but also to stimulate participants in the seminar to engage in a ‘dialogue’ with the heritage of the past.
