Prerequisites (description)
The course is generally intended for students and doctoral students of the Faculty of Polish Studies - participating in BA and MA seminars in linguistics. Students and doctoral students of other faculties who are interested in linguistics, especially semantics, are always welcome.
Prerequisites: basic knowledge of linguistics and descriptive grammar of the Polish language.

Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student:
- is more aware of the complexity of semantic description of linguistic phenomena,
- is familiar with selected problems from the extensive literature on the subject,
- is able to use selected tools and methods of semantic description for their own research,
- synthetically presents the main theses of linguistic texts and critically evaluates them,
- is more confident while taking part in discussion about linguistic phenomena, and respects the principles of academic debate.
