Music journalism 2700-M-WAR-D4DZMU
Classes within the subject of Music Journalism will prepare future music journalists for professional work, using practical teaching methods.
Students will have the opportunity not only to learn and practice the elements of a music journalist's workshop, but also to prove themselves in this role during the classes. The main didactic method used by the Tutor will be the coaching method. During each class, Students will simulate journalistic work, in which independence will be an important element. At the same time, the Tutor will set the direction of the participants' work, sharing her many years of journalistic and musical experience and presenting selected examples of the work of other journalists.
Students, with the help of the Tutor, will create a blog and a YouTube channel for the class, where the results of their work during the classes will be posted, and more specifically, all journalistic genres used in music journalism - interview, review, report, information / announcement, column, as well as audiovisual forms . In the case of an interview, it is planned to take part in the activities of a special guest - a musician, with whom the Students will conduct an interview live.
An important element of education, apart from that in the field of journalism, will also be music - basic musical knowledge, and above all the ability to listen to it consciously and critically. There are planned classes during which Students will play the role of jurors assessing performances in the talent show.
