Assessment of work efficiency in cultural institutions 2700-M-IN-Z4OEPK-OZB
The following issues will be addressed:
- goals and methods of evaluation and self-evaluation,
- defining the notion of quality and effectiveness of library's and information centers,
- basic evaluation rules,
- gathering criteria and evaluation indicators,
- models and tools of measuring work's effectiveness
- data analysis procedures,
- process-based diagnosis and problem solving.

After completing the course, the student:
KNOWLEDGE
K_W07 Knows and understands the basic principles of the creation, operation and development of libraries and other institutions of the sphere of culture and / or information, the economic basis of their functioning.
K_W08 Knows and deeply understands the principles of operation of cultural institutions related to the protection and sharing of cultural heritage.
SKILLS
K_U01 Can properly select sources and information derived from them; make selection, critical analysis, interpretation and presentation of this information, based on the knowledge and research methodology used in the field of book and information science.
K_U04 Can communicate on topics related to book and information science with various groups of recipients, including conducting a debate in Polish.
OTHER COMPETENCES
K_K04 Is ready to fulfill social obligations through active participation in activities for the dissemination of access to information and information competences.
K_K05 Is ready to develop the forms and scope of professional roles performed as an employee of the sphere of culture and / or information in accordance with the changing social needs.
Assessment criteria
Continuous assessment based on substantive preparation for classes and activity during classes, as well as individual tasks.
The condition of passing the course is obtaining a sufficient number of attendance and activity. Students will also have the opportunity to prepare a research tool project.
One unjustified and one excused absence in a semester is allowed. The student has the opportunity to make up for the absence by passing the oral topic discussed in class.
It is not possible to improve positive grades.
