5. Time management of the library team
- theoretical assumptions and practical rules
- selected techniques: Pomodoro, GTD, Alpen
- traditional and electronic tools

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student:
Knowledge
- has extended knowledge in the use of management methods and tools in the field of book and information science
- understands the basic concepts of management and organization of work in the field of librarianship
- knows the basic concepts of management and their application in the field of librarianship
Skills
- can use basic theoretical approaches and concepts appropriate for information and library studies in typical professional situations
- has the ability to prepare typical written works in Polish and a foreign language, considered to be basic for information and library studies, on specific issues, using the basic theoretical approaches, as well as various sources
- can analyze situations of change, conflict and crisis in the organization in terms of possible scenarios of solutions
- knows how to communicate their needs and expectations towards co-workers, subordinates or employees, external stakeholders and clients
Other competences
- can interact and work in a group, taking on different roles
- is able to properly define the priorities for the implementation of the tasks set by himself or others
Assessment criteria
Continuous assessment based on substantive preparation for classes and activity during classes.
The condition of passing the course is obtaining a sufficient number of attendance, activity, passing the final test. Date of the exam - in the session. Remote exam using G Suite.
One unjustified and one excused absence in a semester is allowed. The student has the opportunity to make up for the absence by passing the oral topic discussed in class.
It is not possible to improve positive grades.
