Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE
Knows and understands basic terms and rules concerning the protection of industrial and intellectual property, which are applied in library and information activities and in education.
Has general knowledge in the field of book and information science.
Knows basic methodology of the humanities, exploited in book and information studies.
Has knowledge of the relations between book and information science with other branches of learning and disciplines belonging to the field, which pursued studies belong to.
SKILLS
Is capable of information retrieval, analysis, evaluation, selection and usage, acquiring it from various sources and by various methods, appropriate to own needs and needs of other users.
Knows how to independently acquire knowledge and develop research skills in the field of book and information science under the guidance of a scientific tutor.
Is capable of recognizing various types of documents pertinent to the libraries and cultural institutions, performing their analysis and interpretation with the application of typical methods, towards defining their meanings, social impact and placement in the cultural and historical process.
Is capable of communicating with the use of various channels and technologies, with specialists in book and information studies, in Polish, and in a foreign language.
