ALL CLASSES ARE PRACTICAL. As part of ongoing course,:
1. students prepare joint projects in journalism, their criterion is both journalistic genre (for example project: interviews with councilors),
2. on more developed workshops journalistic editors and authors are leading, teaching workshop commencing students to be engaged in research and pre-treatment of journalistic material
3. edition of texts
4. preparation for illustrations, titles, leads, works are discussed jointly or reviewed by faculty
5. Each project ends with a presentation and printed material
1.all work must occur on an ongoing basis, there is no possibility of passing only the exam, or retake. Deadlines need to be kept. In each semester the student prepares work 3-4
2. In class projects are discussed, works are read together, edited, some jobs are processed without the lecturer by the student individually
3. at the end of each semester students solve the final test, the mid-term test is recommended as well
4. each project is made in accordance with the degree of difficulty. Each text in the project is to reference volume, the number of signs, including spaces.
Projects SCHEME:
1. each new project is implemented according to the scheme: theoretical introduction to the genre (his place in journalism and ways of implementation), the analysis of the genres in the national press and foreign, short practice in class, the realization of independent work, the evaluation of each text, discussion of texts in classes,
2. after presentation of each new journalism genre there is implementation of a minimum one article for each student
3. all projects have to be prepared independently
4. there are provided also group tasks in the classroom: ideas for different occasions, journalistic share ideas, brainstorm about the covers and a series
Learning outcomes
Student knows how to collect material, develop it, prepare journalistic texts according to different criteria of quality and can edit texts of other authors
Assessment criteria
Evaluation:
1. attendance (permitted two absences in a semester),
2. activity in the classroom,
3. punctuality in passing the work to the lecturer
4. total value of the substantive work
5. test
6. portfolio, 7 work in a joint group project
