Mobile and social aspects of information technology 2700-M-API-D1MSATI
The course focuses on the problems of using mobile and social information and communication technologies to create, collect, process and share multimedia content. Both second generation internet tools and mobile applications supporting the realisation of information processes will be taken into consideration. The aim of the course is also to show the possibility of integrating the functions of social media and mobile applications within hybrid web applications - the so-called mashup. During the classes, students will learn about tools for aggregation, syndication of digital resources and selective distribution of information. The detailed issues covered in the course include the following: the development and evolution of the World Wide Web; information possibilities of using Web 2.0 tools; conditions of the technology of mobile devices and applications; typologies of mobile applications; mobile access to information and knowledge; mobile document formats; the Internet of Things and mobile devices and applications; mobile applications and Web 2.0 tools in information systems.
