Project Management for Publishing 2700-L-PW-D4ZPW
During the publishing project management exercises, students will learn step by step the stages and conditions necessary for the effective publishing of contemporary publications, both print and digital. To this end, the exercises consist of topics such as:
1) the project manager's competences
2) the concept of a work within the meaning of copyright
3) Creative Commons licenses and tools, such as CC0 or Public Domain Mark
4) sources of financing for publishing projects
5) planning and implementation of the publishing project budget
6) types of contracts with employees and contractors on selected examples
7) distribution and promotion of the publishing project.

The student knows the possibilities and limitations of managing a publishing project. He can assess his own competences, also in the context of interpersonal communication, in such a position. He knows the next stages - from the idea to the final publication, managing the publishing project.
Assessment criteria
For the final assessment and completion of design exercises, projects in class and the preparation of a draft of your own publishing project under the examination of the stages of its creation (the sketch must include such elements as a budget, listing the means of implementation along with their timing and distribution of tasks among contractors of its elements, draft contracts, including license).
