Basics of the construction and operation of ICT equipment 2700-L-LM-Z5PDED-ZTM
During the classes students will be familiarized with processes, tools and methods that will allow them to configure computer workstation on their own, configure it and customize to their needs. Issues related to choosing specific computer parts and devices will be discussed taking into account the conditions of the computer market. Usage of BIOS system will be presented and installation of various types of operating systems. Students will be also familiarized with basics of computer networks, their design and architecture. Students will learn to use basic networking devices such as router or access point and they will master skills related to configuring network at home or at work place.

KNOWLEDGE:
Student knows how computer devices are built, knows their specs and the process of designing computer workstation that is addressed to certain needs. Student knows basic tools for measuring performance of computer devices and has knowledge about configuring them. Student knows which devices are part of computer networks and which tools are used while configuring them.
SKILLS:
Student can independently design and build computer workstation that is suited for specialized use case. Next, student can configure it and customize to one's own needs. Student can design and create small size computer network.

Written exam.
Positive grade when result above 66%.
