The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the issues concerning the evolution of the World Wide Web and the features and functions of different types of social media. The course will also include mashup tools, the functionality of which consists mainly in combining different services provided by web sites, for example to automatically collect and organize web content. Among the issues raised during the classes will therefore include, among others: definition problems concerning the second generation of the network and its tools, types, functions and objectives of social media, methods of using social media for communication and informational purposes and analysis of services selected during the classes.
