Project of the virtual presentation of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies at the University of Warsaw for the iConference 2700-FAK-PWPWC
The course aims to design and develop a 3D virtual booth promoting the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies at the University of Warsaw for the iConference—an event organized by the iSchools, an international organization that brings together over 130 universities worldwide focused on research and education in the field of information.
The course, conducted in a project-based format, includes the following stages:
● Proposing thematic areas to be presented in the virtual booth
● Exploring the virtual booth software and its capabilities
● Developing content in English
● Preparing graphic materials
● Producing audiovisual materials
● Substantive editing and language proofreading
● Publishing the materials and giving the virtual booth its final form

KNOWLEDGE:
1. The student will acquire basic knowledge of software used to create virtual booths for online conferences.
2. The student will gain an understanding of academic writing principles, editing longer texts, and managing bibliographies.
SKILLS:
1. The student will further develop skills in editing promotional texts in English aimed at an international audience.
2. The student will enhance their ability to work collaboratively in a group.
COMPETENCES:
1. The student will understand how to select and adapt promotional content for an international audience, often extending beyond the Western cultural context.
2. The student will be able to work effectively on a group project.
Assessment criteria
Preparation of materials in English (60%), teamwork (20%), and publication of materials using virtual booth creation software (20%).
