After completion of the course the student:
in terms of knowledge:
● identifies terminology related to entrepreneurship within the discipline of management and quality sciences, as well as in complementary disciplines (economics and finance, legal sciences) (S5_W01).
● identifies procedures and practices relating to the operation of a small enterprise, its key functions, and its relationships with the external environment (S5_W02).
● presents the key principles of small business management (S5_W03)
In terms of skills:
● applies theories from the discipline of management and quality sciences, as well as from complementary disciplines (economics and finance, legal sciences), to identify, diagnose, and solve problems related to the management of a small enterprise, using appropriately selected sources (S5_U01).
● describes legal and economic processes and their impact on the functioning of a small enterprise, using appropriately selected sources (S5_U02).
in terms of attitudes:
● Is ready to think and act in entrepreneurial manner(S5_K02)
● Promotes adherence to ethical standards and legal regulations in launching an economic activity (S5_K03)
Assessment criteria
The final grade is based on two mandatory elements:
● Control test - in electronic form on the KAMPUS UW platform, in the presence in a designated classroom of the Faculty of Management ("paper" test in the classroom is possible). The test contains closed questions - single and multiple choice. The test covers 80% of the final (total) grade.
● Preparation of an application to register self-economic activity – 20% of the final (total) grade.
Attendance may be checked during the classes (two absences are allowed – in case of more absences, the instructor may introduce additional requirements for passing the course).
A total of 40 points can be scored for the control test and elaboration of the registration application, the number of which will determine the final grade, according to the following scale:
● 0 – 20 unsatisfactory (2)
● 21 – 24 satisfactory (3)
● 25 – 28 satisfactory plus (3.5)
● 29 – 32 good (4)
● 33 – 36 good plus (4.5)
● 37 – 40 very good (5)
The maximum number of points available for the control test is 32.
The maximum number of points available for elaboration and presentation of application to register self-economic activity in CEIDG is 8.
