Corporate Finance 2600-MSEM3FP
The lecture has for the task the performance of the universal principles of the financial economy of the enterprise which the warning is conductive to achieving profitable financial results. Following questions are the content of the lecture:
-the aim of the leadership of the economic activity in theory and practice; the structure of the sector of enterprises, surroundings market environment and its implications for money flows;
- the range of financial information in dependences from the legal form of the enterprise, the factual and financial side of the economic activity, the ways of depiction the phenomena in financial reports and their interpretation, the postulated principles of funding the assets, the categories of the result of the economic activity, net profit and money flows,
- the structure of the capital, the regularity of the sources of the capital, internal and external sources, division the profit, the instruments of short-funded, the instruments of long-funded
-funding and the part of the current assets in the enterprise, the net floating capital , optimizing the level of stores, operating and cash cycle, the strategies of the management the floating property, the financial politics of enterprise towards the deliverers and consumers.
-the regularity of costs, the effect of the scale of the activity, the analysis of the unit and marginal cost, the classic formula of the profitability threshold and the ways of its using, the margin of the safety, the cost of the waste of the fixed asset, the systems of the amortization
- the market interest rate as the price of money, the categories of the interest rates, the concept of the rate of return from the capital, the present value and the future value of the unit capital; the principle of estimating the present and future value of money streams
- the directions of the capital’s investment, investment decisions - the concept of the present value and the method of its estimating, income and the risk, the essence of the alternative cost, the conception of the required rate of return in theory and practice
- the diagnosis of the financial situation of the enterprise - the sources of information used in the financial analysis, the categories of analytic index, the trouble areas of the financial analysis (the fluency and performance, short and long-term solvency), the dilemmas of the standards of the evaluation, the synthetic measures of the financial standing and models of early warning, rating systems
- fiscal politics and the finances of the enterprise, tax as the basic tool of the fiscal politics, the influence of direct and indirect taxes on the finances of the enterprise, the regularity of the reaction and the tax strategy of enterprises, taxes shield and its using.

Learning outcomes
The student gives basic knowledge from the range of the finances of the enterprise, in particular : understanding and analyzing the records in financial reports, management the components of the enterprise asset , the choice the sources funds, understanding of market risk, using analytic methods in the evaluation of financial situation and the recognition of the trouble symptoms
Assessment criteria
The lecture ends the written examination in the form of examples to solution and open questions
