As part of the course, students create analytical reports using data available in international and national databases.
The subject of analytical reports will be, m.in, the following issues:
• Indicators measuring macroeconomic phenomena in the real and financial spheres in the world and in Poland;
• Indicators of availability of financial services, the degree of development of financial sectors, financial stability and risk in financial sectors, indicators of competition and concentration in financial markets;
• Indicators of the structure of financial sectors – Stock market oriented versus banking oriented economies.
• Quality indicators of investor and creditor protection.
• Measures of the use of macroprudential instruments and their use in the world.
• Capital market measures.
• Financial ratios

in terms of knowledge:
- identifies the relationships between the analysed indicators and macroeconomic phenomena (K_W02)
- explains the difference between indicators of financial sector structures - stock market oriented versus banking oriented economies (K_W03)
in terms of skills:
- analyses macroeconomic and financial indicators based on data from national and international databases (K_U01)
- assesses financial stability and risk in financial sectors on the basis of indicators and available reports (K_U02)
- uses existing databases to analyze macroeconomic phenomena (K_U03)
- formulates hypotheses regarding the future functioning of the company based on the data made available (K_U04)
- prepares analytical reports using data available in international and domestic databases (K_U06)
in the field of social competences:
- evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of the analyzed indicators and their importance when explaining changes taking place in organizations (K_K01).
Assessment criteria
A project based on market data prepared in groups and presented in classes using econometric and economic models.
Course Assessment
• Written test – in-person (open-ended questions, table-based questions, and closed-ended questions).

A total of 100 points can be earned.
Grading thresholds:
0–50% – grade 2
51%–60% – grade 3
61%–70% – grade 3.5
71%–80% – grade 4
81%–90% – grade 4.5
91%–100% – grade 5
One absence per semester is permitted.
The use of artificial intelligence tools to create coursework for assessment is prohibited.
