Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
* S2_W01: Advanced terminology regarding the functioning of investment banking and financial markets, including concepts related to the valuation of financial instruments, financial modeling, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and the activities of investment banks and hedge funds.
* S2_W02: Advanced principles, procedures, and practices of investment banking functioning, particularly regarding the organization and conduct of securities issuance (IPO).
* S2_W03: Advanced economic theories and models used in investment banking.
* S2_W05: Advanced economic, technological, legal, and institutional processes and phenomena affecting the functioning of investment banking, including capital market development, financial innovations, and regulations regarding investment activities.
In terms of skills, the student can:
* S2_U01: Use economic and financial theory and analytical tools to recognize, diagnose, and solve problems related to investment banking activities, particularly in company valuation, investment project analysis, and assessing the profitability of financial transactions.
* S2_U02: Correctly interpret phenomena occurring in capital markets, including economic fluctuations, securities issuance processes, the activities of investment and hedge funds, and their impact on the functioning of financial institutions.
* S2_U04: Plan and organize their own and team work in the implementation of analytical projects related to investment banking.
* S2_U05: Independently develop knowledge and skills in investment banking.
* S2_U06

In terms of social competencies, the student is ready to:
* S2_K01: Critically evaluate phenomena and processes occurring in investment banking, particularly regarding financial risk, the complexity of investment instruments, and the consequences of investment decisions.
* S2_K04: Comply with ethical standards in investment banking activities, including principles of transparency, responsibility, and avoiding conflicts of interest in advisory processes and financial transactions.
Assessment criteria
Written credit (test with closed-ended, open-ended, and calculation questions).
A total of 100% points can be earned during the classes, which will determine the final grade:
* 0-50% points – grade 2.0
* 51-60% points – grade 3.0
* 61-70% points – grade 3.5
* 71-80% points – grade 4.0
* 81-90% points – grade 4.5
* 91-100% points – grade 5.0
Two absences from class are permitted during the semester.
The use of artificial intelligence tools to create coursework for assessment is prohibited.
