Learning outcomes
After completion of the course the student:
in terms of knowledge:
• Knows and understands the specificity, principles, procedures and practices regarding the activities of a small enterprise, its key functions (operational, marketing, financial, personnel management) and its relationship with the environment (S1_W02).
• Knows and understands technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena and their impact on functioning of a small enterprise (S1_W05).
• Knows and understands the principles of creating and developing various forms of entrepreneurship (S1_W06).
In terms of skills:
• Is able to correctly interpret technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena and their impact on functioning of a small enterprise, using the appropriate selection of sources (S1_U02).
• Is able to plan and organize both, his own and team work (S1_U05).
• Has the ability to self-educate and improve acquired qualifications (S1_U06).
in terms of attitudes:
• Is ready to think and act in an entrepreneurial way (S1_K02).
• Is ready to comply with professional ethical standards (S1_K03).
Assessment criteria
The final grade is based on two mandatory elements:
• Control test - in electronic form on the eNauka WZUW platform, in the presence in a designated classroom of the Faculty of Management ("paper" test in the classroom is possible). The test contains closed questions - single and multiple choice. The test covers 75% of the final (total) grade.
• Case study – preparation and presentation of the concept of own business (the result of team work). The case study accounts for 25% of the final (total) grade.
Attendance may be checked during the classes (two absences are allowed – in case of more absences, the instructor may introduce additional requirements for passing the course).
Possibility of basing the final grade only on the control test – in this case the test will cover 100% of the final (total) grade.
